2. Description of Service

CVTailorAI provides an AI-powered platform that helps users:

• Upload and extract resume content from PDF and DOCX files
• Generate AI-optimized resume content tailored to specific job descriptions
• Format resumes using professional templates
• Download resumes in PDF and DOCX formats
• Receive ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility scores and suggestions

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using CVTailorAI, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 16 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• The information you provide is accurate and complete

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account by:

• Providing a valid email address
• Creating a secure password
• Verifying your email address (if required)

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User Content and Intellectual Property

• Generated and optimized resume versions

By uploading content to CVTailorAI, you grant us a limited license to:

• Send your resume files to your registered email address

5.3 AI-Generated Content

• AI-generated content is provided "as is" for your review and modification
• We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content in your resume
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content
• We recommend reviewing all generated content before submitting to employers

5.4 Restrictions on Content

You may not upload:

• Content that is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Content that violates third-party intellectual property rights
• Content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory
• Content that violates any applicable laws
• Another person's personal information without their consent

6. Service Plans and Payments

6.1 Free Plan

We offer a free plan with limited features:

• Access to select templates
• Limited number of resume generations
• Essential ATS optimization features

6.2 Pro Plan (When Available)

Paid plan features may include:

• Access to all premium templates
• Increased resume generation limits
• Advanced ATS optimization
• Priority support
• Additional features as announced

6.3 Payment Terms

When Pro plans are launched, payment is processed through secure third-party payment processors. Subscription fees are billed in advance, subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled, and refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 Free Plan

No refunds applicable for free plan users.

7.2 Pro Plan Refunds

• Full refund available within 7 days of initial purchase
• Refunds for technical issues on case-by-case basis
• No refunds for unused service time

7.3 Technical Issues

If you experience technical issues preventing service use, contact us for resolution before requesting refund.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

8.1 Our Intellectual Property

CVTailorAI and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are our property and protected by:

• Copyright laws
• Trademark laws
• Patent laws
• Other applicable intellectual property laws

8.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Use the Service for personal resume creation
• Download and use your generated resumes
• Use templates for your personal resume documents

8.3 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our templates or designs
• Reverse engineer our software or AI systems
• Use our service to create a competing product
• Remove watermarks, logos, or copyright notices
• Scrape or systematically download content from our platform

9. Acceptable Use Policy

9.1 Permitted Uses

You may use CVTailorAI for:

• Creating and optimizing your personal resume
• Preparing job application materials
• Managing your career documents

9.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use CVTailorAI to:

• Create fake resumes or credentials
• Impersonate another person
• Generate content that is false or misleading
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with service operations
• Create multiple free accounts to circumvent limits
• Resell or redistribute resume templates
• Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers)

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

10.1 Service "As Is"

• AI-generated content is provided for your review and modification
• We do not guarantee employment outcomes
• We do not guarantee employer acceptance of resumes
• You are responsible for verifying all generated content before use
• ATS scores are estimates based on formatting; actual parsing may vary

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVTAILORAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the last 12 months, or ₹5,000 INR if you have not paid.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Jurisdiction

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal action, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting support@cv-tailor-ai.com. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Mumbai, Maharashtra under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email to your registered address, notice on our website, or update to the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
